FATHI CONCERNED WITH RESULTS, BUT POSITIVE OF RECORDING GOOD RESULTS IN THE COMING GAMES…

NAPSA Stars Football Club Head Coach Mohamed Fathi says his side still remains focused on fighting for the League title this season.

The coach has also assured that the results being recorded in the league will not in any way affect his team’s performance going into continental competition.

Coach Fathi was speaking in his post-match interview with journalists after his team’s 2-0 loss to Buildcon FC that his side will not lose hope citing that the league is still wide open and there is still room to work on the mistakes.

NAPSA Stars FC has not managed to win any game from the four games played so far, recording three draws and one loss. The team has only managed to score two goals and conceded four goals.

This development has raised concerns not only among fans and sponsors, but from the team itself, with the head coach still expressing confidence that things will soon shape up.

“We are concerned just like everyone, especially for a team that wants to win the League. But we are pushing and despite the loss, I have seen something positive from the performance as compared to the past games so I am confident that we will soon get back to our winning ways,” Coach Fathi said.

The coach also adds that he has been missing services of strikers Bornwell Mwape and Tapson Kaseba who had been instrumental to his striking force. The duo is currently nursing injuries.

Coach Fathi also accepted that the departure of midfielder Collins Sikombe has really affected the performance of his side, but was quick to add that he still has capable players that are ready to take up the task.

“We have injuries and Sikombe leaving affected us but I believe in the players I have and I know soon we will be able push for positive results,” Fathi said

The coach also assured that the team will work extra hard to record a positive result in their preliminary round matches against Comoro side Ngazi Sport.
