‘IT’S ANOTHER GREAT THREE POINTS,’COACH PERRY AFTER WARRIORS WIN.

NAPSA Stars moved to fourth position on the log after another victory recorded on Saturday when the team beat Kabwe Warriors by a goal to nil.

The Perry Mutapa-coached side has managed to pick up seven points from a possible nine in their last three matches played in a space of seven days.

Coach Perry said in his post-match interview that it was a great three points for his side, but was also quick to notice how his players looked fatigued owing to many matches in a short space of time.

The coach also added that it was not easy playing a George Lwandamina coached side as it gave his side a tough match.

“We should keep this momentum, we will keep our fit on the ground and definitely looking forward to getting our three points away,” Coach Perry added.

It was a tightly contested first half but NAPSA Stars arguably had a better of the closing exchanges in this match than the visitors in this match.

The first one came in the 29th minute when Musonda Kapembwa missed a great chance to put the Pensioners in the lead with his close range shot being parried off by Scott Ngokeni.

It was Dickson Chapa who provided a great pass to Musonda on two occasions with another coming just three minutes after this, in a similar fashion, but this time Kapembwa shot slightly wide.

Finally a goal came for NAPSA Stars in the 69th minute through Enock Sabumukama who came in as substitute at the start of the second half.

Sabumukama scored a beauty from long range from a bad clearance from Warriors midfield. This was the first match of the season for Sabumukama.

Another chance came for the Pensioners in the 87th minute with Doisy Soko’s long range shot going a few inches wide.

Warrior’s Joseph Kanema almost gave his team hope when his shot hit the side net after managing to get NAPSA Stars defense napping.

Coach Perry maintained the same team that faced Zesco United in their week-7 match.

NAPSA Stars XI ; Mukwanya Rodwell, Luka Banda, Gift Zulu, David Odhiambo, Dickson Chapa, Sydney Kalume (Joseph Lungu 45’), Chaniza Zulu (Enock sabumukama 45’), Leonard Mulenga, Augustin Mulenga (Keegan Zulu 80’), Musonda Kapembwa , Boster Siyoma (Austin Banda 58’).
