NAPSA Stars Football Club Head Coach Perry Mutapa has urged his boys to keep fit even as they enjoy their off-season break.
The coach has given his boys four-weeks of rest to come back fully rejuvenated ahead of the MTN Super League following the team’s qualification.
NAPSA Stars FC qualified to Zambia’s elite League after finishing third in the Eden National Division One League where the team played for a season after suffering demotion.
Coach has also urged his boys to take good care of themselves and come back 50 percent ready for the next season.
“It’s important for the boys to go and recharge especially after a great season. Yes, we are going on a break but we cannot afford sleeping so we have advised them to take good care of themselves,” Coach Perry said.
The coach has also added that the team wants to build on the success of the just ended season which saw them win promotion back to the Super League, and bag the 2022 ABSA Cup trophy.
“Yes, we will have to plan individual training programs for the boys as they go to rest. We want them to be at least 50 percent fit when they return,” Coach Perry adds.
The pensioners finished third with 61 points after 34 games played, 17 won, 10 drawn and seven games lost.
