- JOB PURPOSE
- The Physiotherapist position is a full-time position reporting to the Head Coach. The Job Holder will be responsible for aiding players with the diagnosis, treatment and recovery of physical conditions and/or injuries as well as the prevention of future recurrences. He/she shall conduct comprehensive examinations and diagnosis, formulation of safe and progressive treatment programs, ongoing monitoring of the recovery process and efficient communication with the Technical bench of the Team.
- JOB RESPONSIBLITITES
- To provide physiotherapy services to all players.
- To promote and protect the health and well-being of all players.
- To monitor and assess all players for their fitness and injury status to train or
play.
- To assess, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate all injuries and illnesses, analysing and designing the safest and quickest strategy to ensure a full return to training.
- To be responsible for pitch-side assessment and treatment of players during training and matches.
- To provide injury rehabilitation training of players, in conjunction with the Head Coach, in preparation for return to play.
- To communicate injury status, rehabilitation strategies and return to training projections to the management team.
- To arrange and undertake pre-registration medical screenings and muscular-skeletal examinations, in conjunction with the Club Doctor.
- To maintain accurate and updated medical records of all players.
- To conduct an audit of injuries and provide management-level reports.
- To ensure the Club and players are compliant with all medical and anti-doping guidelines, rules and regulations of the governing bodies.
- In charge of seasonal medical assessments for the youth teams.

- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Full Grade twelve (12) School Certificate with at least five (5) ‘O’ level credits including English language and Mathematics.
- Professional Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Relevant professional qualification in Football Medicine will be an added advantage.
- At least 3 Years traceable experience as sports first aid and physiotherapy.
- Conversant with computer programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- At least 3 years working experience in a similar position.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), proactive and innovative, able to plan events, good organizational skills with an assertive attitude.
- Member of Sports Physiotherapists Association of Zambia (SPAZ) is required.
