CAPTAIN and NAPSA Stars defender Luka Banda and striker Jimmy Mukeya have been named in coach Aljosa Asanovic 23-member squad for the 2022 Hollywood bets Cosafa Cup.
This is the second call-up for the duo in a space of two months after being part of the Provisional squad for the AFCON qualifiers. The duo however did not make it to the final squad.
Asanovic has named an all-local squad that will also act as a preparatory ground for the July 24 African Nations Championship tie against Mozambique in Maputo.
Zambia is expected to join the 2022 COSAFA tournament at the quarterfinal stage, and will face the winners of Group A that comprises Botswana, Angola, Comoros, and Seychelles.
The 2022 Cosafa tournament will run from July 5-17 in Durban, South Africa.
