THE Pensioners are in Solwezi for their week- seven rescheduled MTN/FAZ Super League game against Lumwana Radiants FC set for tomorrow, January 13, 2021..
With both teams coming from collecting maximum points, tomorrow’s match promises to be a mouthwatering encounter which has been scheduled for Solwezi’s Independence Stadium.
Coach Mohamed Fathi has carried his strong 23-man squad to Solwezi to take on Lumwana in this game which will see no spectators present owing to Covid-19.
And both teams will be desperately searching for a win in tomorrow’s game to see them out of the relegation zone.
The pensioners have played eight games and are sited on 15th place with 10 points while Lumwana have the same points after 10 games played and lying on 16th position.
In their last six meetings, NAPSA Stars FC have beaten Lumwana three times with the other three times ending in draws. But this will not make this Mohamed Fathi coached side relaxed with team Captain Dickson Chapa saying every game is different.
“We will not rely on past glory, we will work hard in tomorrow’s game so that we collect maximum points,” Chapa said.
The captain adds that playing away from home is not easy but reassures that the team is ready and prepared to collect the maximum points in tomorrow’s game.
Coach Fathi’s squad has also been boosted with an inclusion of two new players in David Odhiambo and Enock Sabumukama who are central defender and attacking midfielder respectively.
A win for either teams in this match sees them either on 11th or 12th position depending on the goals that will be scored and allowed.
The match is set for 15hours and will see no spectators present.
