NAPSA Stars Football Club Assistant Coach Sipho Mumbi has described Jimmy Mukeya as an enterprising player who is always hungry to prove himself.
The coach was speaking after NAPSA Stars FC beat F.C MUZA in their week-six match of the MTN Super league that saw the team win by three goals to nil.
Mukeya, an under-23 national team player, scored NAPSA Star’s first goal in this match after coming in as a substitute at half time.
This was the player’s second goal for the team, with his first being in a week four match played against Green Eagles FC where NAPSA Stars came from behind to win by 2goals to nil.
“Jimmy Mukeya is a very enterprising player. He is always hungry to prove himself. This is the second game he has come in positively,” Coach Sipho said.
The assistant coach who has been in charge of the team’s last three matches following Coach Perry’s three match ban, added that the technical bench led by Perry Mutapa has continued to encourage the lad to maintain his focus.
Mukeya has featured in all the six matches NAPSA Stars has played this season, playing 266 minutes from a possible 540. The player has scored two goals and provided two assists.
The player had a rough 2021/2022 season and had promised his fans of a great 2022/2023 season, and his performance so far can be one to draw some hope from going forward.
The player was also recently called to be part of Coach Oswald Mutapa’s under-23 national team squad.
“He is a young player and all that he needs is to be managed well because sometimes in football, we don’t need to over praise the player but try to be careful with them,” Coach Sipho adds.
NAPSA Stars are eighth on the log with eight points from the six games played so far.
