The Pensioners are back to League action this afernoon with a mouth watering encounter with Zanaco FC at The Nkoloma Stadium.
The Mohamed Fathi coached side will be looking at collecting maximum points in today’s match especially looking at where his team is on the log after recording three draws and one loss so far.
Coach Fathi will be looking at getting goals in this game especially after a good continental performance from his side, eliminating Ngazi Sport of Comoros from the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round with a 9-2 aggregate.
The coach has urged his players to keep the same momentum going into league games so us to escape the relegation zone.
Napsa is lying second from bottom on the log with three points, but the Mohamed Fathi’s side has only played four games and are having four games in hand.
Zanaco on the other hand is lying third on the log with 11 points from eight games played, with a record of three wins, two draws and three losses.
And these two sides have not had it easy picking points from each other with the most common result being a draw.
Napsa Stars FC team Captain Dickson Chapa says in his pre-match that the results recorded in the CAF competitions has given the team motivation going into league games.
Chapa says the team is looking at escaping relegation and winning today’s game will take the team a step closer.
”We are not ok with our position on the log, we will work hard to collect maximum points because that will be very good for us, ” Chapa adds.
