NAPSA STARS HELD TO A DRAW BY FOREST RANGERS

Napsa Stars were forced to share the spoils with Forest Rangers in a tightly contested encounter at Woodlands Stadium this afternoon.

Head Coach Sipho Mumbi made a notable change to his lineup, handing Witson Banda his first start of the season at right back position, replacing Gift Zulu. Banda put in a solid shift, making crucial defensive interventions in his Premier League debut.

Youth player Gabriel Phiri also made his senior team debut, coming on in the 78th minute.

Despite the promising individual performances, Coach Mumbi expressed disappointment with the result. “We have only managed two points out of six from our last two games, and that is not good enough,” he lamented, referencing the 1-1 draw with Indeni in Ndola last week Saturday.

Mumbi vowed to make changes, stating, “Moving forward, I will have to put players who will make a difference in the game.”

The draw leaves Napsa Stars with 13 points, sitting 11th on the Zambian Premier League table.
