Napsa Stars Suffer Another Setback: Power Dynamos Claim 3-1 Victory

Napsa Stars’ struggles continued this week as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Power Dynamos. The tightly contested match saw the home team mount significant pressure on Napsa Stars from the onset.

The first half was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating scoring opportunities. However, it was Power Dynamos who broke the deadlock in the 45+3 minute through Dominic Chanda’s strike. This goal gave the home team a crucial lead at the break.

Napsa Stars made a notable change in the second half, introducing Jimmy Mukeya for Emmanuel Mwanza. This substitution seemed to spark some life into the Napsa Stars attack, as they began to push forward in search of an equalizer.

Despite their more attacking approach, Napsa Stars’ defense was caught off guard, allowing Brian Masaniga to extend Power Dynamos’ lead in the 70th minute.

The goal seemed to deflate Napsa Stars, but they refused to give up. Mathew Tolopa pulled one back for Napsa Stars in the 72nd minute, raising hopes of a potential comeback.

However, Power Dynamos continued to press, determined to seal the win. As the match drew to a close, Power Dynamos’ Austin Muwowo sealed the win for the home team in the 89th minute.

The defeat drops Napsa Stars to 10th position on the league table with 16 points. Power Dynamos’ victory was well-deserved, as they showed more cohesion and determination throughout the match.

Napsa Stars Assistant Coach Lawrence M. Lubinda attributed the loss to tactical indiscipline. “Power Dynamos took their chances, and we missed small details. They punished us for our mistakes,” he said.

Larry Bwalya was voted Man of the Match, sponsored by Kumbi Investment. The loss marks another challenging result for Napsa Stars, who will aim to regroup and recover from this setback in their next match against FC Muza on Novermber 30 at Woodlands Stadium.
