NAPSA Stars Football Club Head Coach Mohamed Fathi has described his team’s draw against Ngazi Club of Comoros as fair.
The draw of the preliminary rounds of Interclub competitions season 2020/21 were held yesterday (Monday 9 November 2020) during the online meeting of CAF Organizing Committee for Interclub Competitions and Club Licensing Systems, and NAPSA Stars FC were drawn against Ngazi Club of Comoros.
In reacting to this draw, the head coach has also assured that the team’s performance in the last three league games will not affect their performance going into this CAF competition.
The team has failed to record a single win, drawing all its three games played against Former League Champions Zesco United, Lusaka Dynamos and Young Green Eagles.
NAPSA Stars who are debutants for the CAF Confederations Cup competition, will first travel to Comoros this November for the first leg which is between 27-29, before hosting Ngazi in the return fixture in the first week of December.
Coach Fathi is hopeful that his side will do a good job going forward adding that the target is to reach group stage in this competition.
“I know we have not had the best performance so far in the league, but from my side as head coach, I promise things will be okay because we have already identified where the problem is and we are working on it,”
“We have to work hard for this just as we worked hard to qualify,” Coach Fathi adds.
The pensioners have since commenced intensive preparations for these fixture.
