This season’s MTN Super League fixtures have been announced and Pensioners commence their 2022/23 campaign away to Red Arrows on August 20, 2022.
The new season will start at Nkoloma Stadium for the Perry Mutapa-coached side, who will go against a Chisi Mbewe-coached side that bagged the league title last season.
These two teams faced each other in the ABSA Cup final which saw Pensioners win the Cup by a goal to nil.
The Pensioners will return to their home ground, Woodlands Stadium in week-two when they host Police sponsored side Nkwazi Football Club.
Week-three sees NAPSA Stars FC travel to North Western Province when the team dates Lumwana Radiants FC in the second week of September.
NAPSA Stars will host Green Eagles in week-four and visit Power Dynamos in their week-five fixture,
The Pensioners had an impressive 2021/22 season, finishing third on the log in the Eden National Division One League and subsequently winning promotion back to the MTN Super League.
The team also went ahead to beat three Super League teams to bag Zambia’s only cup competition ABSA Cup.
