NOT ALL IS LOST, WE KEEP FIGHTING – COACH FATHI

NAPSA Stars Football Club head coach Mohamed Fathi says not all is lost and his side will still fight to qualify to the next round.

The Pensioners struggled to get a goal in yesterday’s CAF Confederation Cup First Round First Leg game which ended 0-0 at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Coach Fathi in his post-match said their opponents travelled to defend adding that NAPSA will also travel with a different approach.

“Not all is lost, if you want to look at the negative side it means we have to stay at home and not travel to Mozambique. We are still fighting,” Coach Fathi said.

Fathi also adds that yesterday’s game has given his side an insight of their opponent, adding that Songo should not expect the same performance in the return leg.

The head coach has remained positive and has continued to push his boys to maintain focus going into the return match in Mozambique.

“They will play an open game and we will take advantage of that. We still have a lot of chances of qualifying and we will keep fighting,” Fathi adds.

And team captain Dickson Chapa said a draw is not a very bad result adding that the team will work together to pick a positive result in Mozambique.

Meanwhile UD DO Songo Assistant coach Carlos Manuel said his team played the game according to their plan adding that they got a result that they wanted.

” Our league has not yet started and we came with a strategy to defend and we will finish the game back in Mozambique. We are one team that play good football in Mozambique and we attack a lot and it would be absurd for us to come here and play an open game,” Coach Carlos Manuel said.

The two teams meet again between December 5/6 in a return leg scheduled for Mozambique.
