NAPSA Stars Football Club will this afternoon host their former Super League counterparts Kitwe United in a Week- two of the Eden University National Division One League game set for Woodlands Stadium.
These two teams were both relegated from the Super League last season after finishing the competition in bottom four.
The Pensioners will have everything to fight for in today’s match in order to restore confidence both in themselves as a team, and in their fans after their League Opener ended in a loss when the team visited City of Lusaka.
Coach Mutapa has drilled his strong 19-man squad which entered camp yesterday to prepare for today’s match will be the first one for Kitwe United who missed out in their week-one when they fail to host Young Green Eagles after getting permission from FAZ.
We will be expecting a few changes from Coach Mutapa’s side that played against City of Lusaka as the coach is trying to ensure every player fights for his position in the team.
Team captain Rabson Muchelenganga has described Kitwe United as a strong team that needs all the attention it deserves in today’s match which is set for 13h00.
Muchelenganga has added that the morale in camp is high and the boys are set to fight another battle with positive mindsets of picking up maximum points after the end of 90minutes.
“We are ready, Kitwe United is not a push over team, but we are set for today and working towards collecting our first win to help us quickly regain our confidence in this league,” Muchelenganga adds.
Meanwhile the last time these two sides met was last season in the Super League with the first game ending in a barren draw, and NAPSA Stars winning the second game by 2goals to zero.
Fans will still not be allowed in match venues owing to Covid-19 restrictions.
