PENSIONERS HOST COTON SPORT THIS AFTERNOON

THE Pensioners host Coton Sport of Cameroon this afternoon for their Group B Group Stage match of the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

This is a must win match for NAPSA Stars if they need to keep their hopes of qualifying to the next stage alive.

The Mohamed Fathi coached side is coming from a 2all draw against Algerian side JS Kabylie, and a loss from Moroccan side RS Berkane.

Coach Fathi has however said his boys are ready for today’s match, stating that they have to take advantage of their remaining home games.

Coach Fathi who missed the last home match which ended 2-2 against JS Kybalie has added that NAPSA Stars still has a chance group to qualify to the next round.

The coach has assembled his strong 18-man squad to take on Coton Sport this afternoon. He will be with services of 2021 AFCON wining striker Emmanuel Mayuka who missed out on the last CAF match owing to family bereavement.

Also available in Coach Fathi’s selection is David Odhiambo who got injured in the last CAF game played against JS Kabylie.

“The group is still open up to the last game, we will try and push to win our home matches,” Coach Fathi says.

The Pensioners have a point going into the match while Coton Sport have three points after beating RS Berkane.

The game is set for Heroes Stadium this afternoon with the return leg set for April 11th in Cameroon.
