The Pensioners have shifted focus to the League as they host Lusaka Dynamos FC in a week-19 match scheduled for Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka this afternoon.
This will be a match day 17 for NAPSA Stars who have two games in hand with Zesco United and Nkana FC.
Coach Mohamed Fathi has already selected his 18-man squad who entered camp yesterday to prepare for this match.
NAPSA Stars FC have had a rough start to their league campaign playing 16 games so far, and lying 14th on the log with 18 points.
Lusaka Dynamos FC on the other hand are lying third on the log with 30 points from 18 games played.
But this record will clearly not intimidate NAPSA Stars FC who will be boosted with their CAF Group Stage qualification from their last encounter.
The Mohamed Fathi coached side will be looking at changing fortunes in the league so as to get back to a better position in the league and participate in CAF competition again after the 2020/2021 league season ends.
Captain of the side Dickson Chapa has said in his pre-match interview that the team is looking for nothing but a victory in today’s game so as to settle in a good position on the log.
“It won’t be an easy game, but we have prepared and we want to get to a better position on the log so we will fight for a victory in today’s match,” Chapa adds.
And the team is likely to be boosted with services of Burundian Midfielder Enock Sabumukama who has been out for a week owing to injury.
Striker Emmanuel Mayuka who was out in the last league game played against Nkwazi is also likely to be featured in today’s match.
