PENSIONERS HOST ZESCO IN THEIR FIRST LEAGUE MATCH…

The Pensioners commence their 2020/21 MTN /FAZ Super League Season journey today with a tough test against Ndola Giants Zesco United Football Club.

Head Coach Mohamed Fathi believes this is a fair first test for his side especially that the team is also preparing for CAF Confederations Cup.

The coach says in an interview with NAPSA Stars FC media that playing Zesco will be a good test for his side, adding that the Ndola side has vast experience in continental competition.

But this is not the only focus for coach Fathi and his boys, as the team is also looking at recording a victory in today’s encounter in order to commence the League on a high note.

The coach has prepared his 23-man squad which entered camp on Friday, and he will have to pick his best 18 from this squad to take on Zesco United today.

New faces have also made it to the squad and will be looking forward to making their best debut for the team in today’s game. But this will not have anyone relaxed knowing that the opponent is also geared for this fight with their new inclusions to their squad.

Meanwhile NAPSA Stars FC and Zesco United last met in the previous season in a game which saw NAPSA Stars win by 2goals to 1. Collins Sikombe and Aaron Kabwe scored for Napsa while Zesco’s goal came through John Mark Makwata

And NAPSA Stars FC team captain Dickson Chapa says the morale in camp is high and everyone is ready to have a good game against Zesco United today.

“We are all set for this game and we really want to start on a good note so we have put in our all and we pray everything will go as planned,” Chapa says.

The game is set for Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka and will be played under closed doors owing to Covid-19 outbreak.
