In-form NAPSA Stars Football Club visit Young Green Eagles FC tomorrow for their week-15 match of the Eden National Division One League.
The Pensioners will make a one-day trip to Kafue for this fixture which is scheduled for 15:00hrs at Khosa Stadium.
The last time these two teams met was last season in the MTN Super League, a match which saw NAPSA Stars lose by three goals to one.
But this will not scare Napsa Stars Football Club Team Head coach Perry Mutapa who says that his team is aiming to collect maximum points in tomorrow’s game.
The Pensioners have gone five games unbeaten recording only victories and draws. Coach Mutapa however, has advised his boys to work harder in each match and take it as it comes.
In an interview with NSFC TV, Mutapa says he anticipates a tough game against YGEFC tomorrow because he has observed that all the teams that play Napsa Stars try to ensure that they raise their game.
‘’It’s going to be a tough game and they are playing at home but our aim as NAPSA is to make sure we get the three points,’’ Mutapa said.
A win in tomorrow’s game against Young Green Eagles will see the chances of NAPSA stars of qualifying for the ABSA Cup revived.
The Pensioners are toping the log with 30 points after nine games won, three drawn and two lost, while Young Green Eagles are on tenth position with four games won, five drawn and four lost.
And in their last matches, NAPSA Stars FC beat Police College by a goal to nil while YGEFC hosted Trident FC and shared spoils after their match ended in a 1all draw.
Team News
Coach Perry has drilled and camped his 18-man squad to travel to Kafue tomorrow and take on Young Green Eagles FC.
Coach will not be expected to make a lot of changes to his team that beat Police College in their week-14 game played at Woodlands Stadium last Saturday.
The team will tomorrow be without the services of Jimmy Mukeya who missed out in the last match owing to a family bereavement.
No injury scares in the team with every member ready to be selected for this match.
The team will also see Goalkeeper Coach Yusuf Lumu miss out from the bench after being shown a red card in the last match played against Police College.
