Kenyan defender David Owino Odhiambo says the team will work hard to avoid repeating the mistake of being demoted to the lower league.
The defender who bagged the award for most disciplined player last season said NAPSA Stars will go back into the Super League to compete for honors especially after achieving all the goals set in the ended season.
The Pensioners were promoted back to the Super League after a season of playing in the Eden National Division One League.
Odhiambo said in an interview with NAPSA Stars FC media team that the players have taken plenty of lessons from Division One that will be carried into the Super League next season.
“We slept and got demoted, it was a mistake that we do not want to repeat. So, we will not be under pressure as we head back, but take each match as it comes,” Odiambo added.
The defender also added that Super League teams should not underrate NAPSA Stars as a team coming from Division One, but prepare as the Perry Mutpa-coached team will be ready to fully compete in the Football Association of Zambia elite league.
“There is plenty of exposure in the Super League and I’m just wishing all my teammates all the best as we compete in the Super League,” Odhiambo said.
Odhiambo played 27 games in the ended season.
