Coach we face Prison Leopards this weekend, what are your expectations?
The expectation is always to win the game but we obviously know where we are coming from. We have not won for quite some time but for us to come back next year in our next game against Red Arrows, we need to get a victory for the fans, for the executive, for the boards and of course for ourselves as NAPSA Stars.
Your team has not done well in the recent matches, what approach do you think you should take to tackle this particular match?
The approach is always the same, this is the team which is just failing to put the ball into the back of the net but we are creating clear cut chances. Yes we are very worried about the results but in terms of creating chances we are always doing that. Even in the last game against Forest Rangers with nine men from the first half, we did well because we created chances but just failed putting the ball into the net. So, we have been emphasizing on keeping a clean sheet and of course getting the ball into the back of the net from the chances we create.
With the performance of Prisons in the league so far, how easy or hard do you think this match is for your side?
I think it is not an easy game because they are in the race to play in the ABSA Cup. I know they will not be relying on other teams in order for them to qualify for the ABSA Cup. They want to get the result but equally we have not done well but in football, we are always planning for the game to be won in the 90 minutes. We have just prepared to get a win but it will not be an easy game.
This is the last match of the season, how important is it that you finish the first season with a good result?
Where we are coming from with a bad patch of losses and draws, I think this will be a big present to the board, fans and executive as we end the year and it will give us humble time to prepare for next year which is the second round. This will be a good thing for us because we get the motivation. We have not done so well but just a win or two wins in a row and you will see us back in the top 10 or top eight.
You will be playing in front of your home fans, what should they expect from the team?
We are coming here to play at our home ground, we want to get the three points.
With a series of negative results, how are you psyching your players as they go into these matches?
I have told them that there are teams that have not won for quite some time, nine to ten games. This is the team which has won but off course in the last games we have not done so well. We get that motivation because there are teams which have not won in a longtime. For us it is just to get a win. Two to three wins in a row, we will be back in the top eight.
