Amos Simwanza has been at the heart of the Pensioners’ defense since joining in 2018.
The player joined the club together with midfielder Danny Silavwe and striker Bornwell Mwape who is currently playing for Forest Rangers FC.
Simwanza will not be part of Coach Perry’s 2022/23 squad after five seasons with the Club.
The player signed in the middle of the 2018 season when NAPSA Stars appointed Coach Mohamed Fathi to help the team survive relegation in that season.
‘Akashimbi’ as he is addressed by his former teammates, was also instrumental in the 2019 Transitional League season, 2019/2020 Season and the 2020/2021 season.
He was also very active when NAPSA Stars FC took part CAF Confederations Cup competition for the first time playing seven games.
The player played 16 games in the 2020/2021 season which saw NAPSA Stars relegated from the MTN Super League, and only played two games in the ended 2021/2022.
Simwanza will be missed by his teammates for his positive and free spirit he brought in the squad.
The Club through its Club Chairman Mr. John Chundu has thanked the player for his service at the Club, and wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
