NAPSA Stars Football Club forward Musonda Kapembwa says the team is working on being clinical in front of goal going into the coming matches.
The Perry Mutapa coached side is yet to record a goal this season after three games played.
Musonda Kapembwa who scooped top scorer award for the team last season after finishing the 2021/22 Season with seven goals, said the team is doing everything it can to start scoring goals.
The player said it is a little disappointing that the team is yet to score and win a match, but was also quick to stress that the team has been creating a number of chances which was a good sign for them.
“There is no crisis, we just have to pick on where we are and be clinical going forward. I think we have just been unlucky but we are working hard to start picking positive results,” Kapembwa said.
NAPSA Stars scored a total of 39 goals in the National Division One League last season, with the highest scorers being Lumwana Radiants who scored 46 goals. The Pensioners also allowed the least number of goals in the same season recording 21 goals.
Musonda Kapembwa added that the team has only played three games and is not under-pressure going into the next matches, stressing that he believes the team will soon start picking maximum points.
The Pensioners are scheduled to host Green Eagles FC this Sunday in their match week-four of the MTN Super League.
The team is occupying 11th position on the log after losing one match and drawing two.
