NAPSA Stars Football Club has received some words of encouragement from Chipolopolo skipper Enock Mwepu who believes the Club can challenge for honors in their first season back into the Super League.
The Pensioners bounced back to the Super League after an impressive season in the lower ranks which was doubled by winning the ABSA Cup after beating Super League Champions Red Arrows FC.
In a video message to his former teammates, Mwepu said Napsa Stars have what it takes to do great in the coming season.
The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder was in the books of NAPSA Stars during the 2016 and 2017 season before moving to Austria side Redbull Salzburg.
“I want to wish the Tangala boys all the best in this coming season, I just want to say a big congratulations for that remarkable season you had winning promotion and bagging the ABSA Cup,” Mwepu said in his video message.
The Chipolopolo captain also added that the Pensioners have set a great standard for the Club, adding that it was up to the team to work harder and do even greater in this coming season.
Mwepu said he has watched Napsa several times and the team has what it takes to reach for the best.
“I saw your togetherness, resilience, focus and commitment, I know you will do event greater this coming season. Big credit goes to the coach and his team for a job well done,” Mwepu added.
The player joined NAPSA Stars under the tutelage of Coach Tenant Chilumba.
Napsa open their league campaign against Red Arrows in Week One, before going on to take on Lumwana Radiants, Green Eagles Power Dynamos and FC Muza.
