IT’S NEVER AN EASY GAME AGAISNT MY BROTHER- COACH PERRY

NAPSA Stars Football Club head coach Perry Mutapa says it has never been easy for him to play against his elder brother Oswald Mutapa because he always gives him a tough competition.

Coach Perry and his NAPSA Stars FC will this Sunday go up against his brother Coach Oswald Mutapa with his Nkwazi FC in a week-19 match of the MTN Super League.

In an interview with NAPSA Stars FC Media this morning, Coach Perry said this weekend’s game will not be easy looking at how Nkwazi have a new head coach in Oswald Mutapa and will want to impress their home fans.

Nkwazi confirmed the return of Oswald Mutapa before the resumption of the second round, to take over Tenant Chilumba who left the Police Sponsored side to join ZESCO United.

Coach Perry in his interview added that Nkwazi is coming from recording a draw against log leaders Power Dynamos FC in their previous match and will have confidence coming into this match.

“It is difficult to play against my brother, we grew up together and we discuss football matters together so it has not be easy. In the few games we have met, the results have ended in draws and that is never even planned,”

“There’s a time when he was with National Assembly and I was with Lusaka Dynamos. His team had already confirmed relegation and my team needed to win to confirm our survival, he gave us a tough test and we drew that match, luckily we survived owing to other results, so you could see that with us, it’s always business as usual,” Coach Perry adds.

The coach also stresses that the result Nkwazi recorded in their previous match against log leaders Power dynamos in Kitwe shows how tough their next match against NAPSA Stars will be.

He added that Nkwazi is playing at home this weekend and will obviously want to get a win, but was quick to add that NAPSA Stars will also be up to task especially coming from recording an important win against defending champions Red Arrows FC.

The coach has also warned his players against complacency saying the past games have gone and more focus is needed towards the remaining matches.

NAPSA Stars have won their last two matches against Prison Leopards FC and Red Arrows FC recording 4-1 and 3-1 respectively.

“The game against Arrows is done and dusted and now we have to work for the Nkwazi game because if we won’t, they will surprise us. We have to ensure that we do better in the second round,” Coach Perry adds.

The coach has also provided an update on captain Luka Banda who limped out of the last match owing to a knock saying he is fit and up for selection in the next match.

“Luka is such a great character, he refused to rest and this is the type of spirit we want in football,” Coach Perry added.
