NAPSA Stars Football Club is a professional football club competing in the highest tier of Zambian football, regulated by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).  
The club has over the last 10 years embarked on a vigorous drive to be among the elite Zambian football clubs, competing to bring honor to the country through its participation in continental football in Africa and scoping the ABSA Championship cup twice. It is fully compliantwith the FAZ club licensing requirement procedure and upholds integrity and honesty in its business operations.

The Club, being an equal opportunity employer is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of MEDIA & PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (1). 

1. JOB PURPOSE• 

The Media & PR Officer is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The job holder shall be responsible for developing public relations strategies, policies, and procedures for the club. He/she shall also be responsible for efficiently producing and effectively disseminating approved Club publicity materials (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.).The Media & PRO must ensure to develop good relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.

2. JOB RESPONSIBLITITES 

  • Handle media inquiries, keep track of media coverage, and keep up with industry trends.• Develop PR campaigns and organise events (e.g., open days, press conferences).
  • Prepare and distribute press releases.• Ensure Customer satisfaction by managing Customercomplaints effectively.
  • Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising.
  • Investigate and identify potential promotional opportunities for the club
  • Plan and supervise events, fairs, conferences etc.
  • Support the implementation of promotional plans.
  • Present solutions in times of PR crisis
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors.
  • Lead survey initiatives and analyse public opinion.• Ensures that company quarterly magazine aredesigned and circulated.  
  • Monthly departmental reports are prepared by the 5th of every month.
  • Maintains a comprehensive file of all match recordings.
  • In charge of pre-match and post-match interviews.
  • Ensures that company website is updated weekly. 
  • Manage ALL Club social media platforms effectively to maximise reach.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Full Grade twelve (12) School Certificate with at least five (5) ‘O’ level credits including English language and Mathematics.

.• Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, or a related field.

• Computer literate – fully conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Digital media Marketing.

• At least 3 years working experience in a similar position.

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written), proactive and innovative, able to plan events, good organizational skills with an assertive attitude.

• Experience managing sport media relations (online, broadcast and print) will be an asset.

.• Member of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication is a MUST.

 4. JOB CORE COMPETENCIES

• Experience in Digital media management and execution of PR campaigns and/or initiatives.

. • Experience in copywriting and editing

. • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent presentation skills and public speaking• Proficiency in English.

• A creative yet practical mind.
