IT’S DO-OR-DIE AS PENSIONERS CONTINUE TO FIGHT IN EACH MATCH…

The Pensioners have had a rough test this season trying to escape the relation zone.

This is one tough test for this Mohamed Fathi coached side who had a great season last season which saw them not only qualify and participate in Continental football for the first time, but also go far in that competition by reaching Group Stage.

This milestone also saw FAZ secure the four slots for CAF participation for this coming season.

Coach Fathi has kept his hopes alive of still finishing in top four to see his side participate in continental football again after the end of this season.

But his side will need to die a little and make this possible seeing the position the team is at on the MTN Super League Log.

NAPSA Stars has played 26 games out of the 34 games, but the team is lying fourth from bottom with 36 points, six points better than third from bottom placed Lumwana Radiants FC, but a point below Indeni who are fifth from bottom with 37 points.

The players have had time to push themselves to take each game as it comes to see the team not only escape the red zone, but also finish in a respectable position especially after last season’s great performance.

Of course, this season’s performance has mainly been attributed by most fans, as owing to the team’s Continental involvement which saw them concentrate more on CAF competition and less on the league.

This might be true to some extent, but also can be attributed to the fact that the team has been fatigued with back to back games which saw them play around eight to nine matches in a single month.

However, this has not been an excuse for this Mohamed Fathi side which has kept on pushing for maximum points since their exist in the CAF Confederations Cup competition.

NAPSA has eight fixtures remaining to decide their fate both in the league and in top four. The team has kept believing in each game, and has continued to work extra hard to see NAPSA Stars finish the season in a better position.
