MEDICAL UPDATE] AUSTIN AND SIMON MAKE A FULL RECOVERY

As the Pensioners shift their focus to a week-12 away match to Green Buffalos FC this weekend, team physiotherapist Nimrod Musongwa has provided a medical update for the team.

NAPSA Stars are coming from recording a 2-1 loss to Zanaco FC in their week-11 match of the MTN Super League.

Midfielders Simon Nkhata and Austine Banda who have missed three and two matches respectively, have made a full recovery and will be up for selection this weekend.

Musongwa confirmed this in an interview with NAPSA Stars Media that the two had been doing light training and commenced their full training with the team this week.

“Boster Siyoma and Danny Silavwe are the only players that injured as at now, the rest have made a full recovery and only need fitness from the technical bench to feature in the matches, but where medical is concerned, the two are fine now,” Musongwa added.

Siyoma picked up an injury during a week-11 match played against Zanaco FC last weekend.

The Perry Mutapa coached side that are eighth on the log, are back in action this weekend to face a Masauso Tembo coached Green Buffalos side that is sixth on the log.

Only a point is separating these two sides as they head into this weekend’s fixture set for Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka.

This fixture will see Coach Perry and Coach Masauso who have worked together as head coach and first assistant respectively for a long time before in their coaching career, face off again, but this time in the MTN Super League.

The last time the two coaches met was in the 2021/2022 season when Coach Masauso was coach FC  MUZA.
