By SANDRA MWILA

NAPSA Stars enterprising striker Jimmy Mukeya says his eyes are firmly focused on winning the MTN-FAZ Super League Young Player-of-the-Year award at the end of the season.

Mukeya, who has scored nine goals in all competitions this season, said he was motivated by his current form to work even harder.

He said his first season in the Super league had gained him exposure and learnt a lot from the senior players in the team.

“I am doing my best. I want to win the Young Player-of-the-Year award. It’s been a big experience playing at a high level,” he said.

He rejoined Napsa at the beginning of this season after a yearlong loan spell at Zesco Malaiti Rangers in the Eden University Division One League.

Mukeya said he would ensure that he continued to score goals and help his team achieve its goals.

The striker added that his experience in the Confederation Cup had given him confidence to play football at any level.

“The Confederation Cup is big. It’s like an Africa UEFA. It was a good experience and it helped me build my confidence,” he said.

Mukeya scored a goal in Napsa’s home game against JS Kabylie in the group stage of the Confederation Cup.
