NAPSA FAIL TO WIN AGAIN…THE TEAM RECORDS THEIR FIRST LOSS AT HEROES

The Pensioners have recorded their third loss in a role, and the first one at Heroes Stadium at the expense of Chambishi FC in their week-13 match of the MTN Super League.

NAPSA Stars failed to capitalize on their many chances and got punished with two first half goals by the visiting team.

And Coach Perry is still hopeful that results will still come for his side despite not picking up points.

It was Doisy Soko that had the first chance for NAPSA Stars in the 15th minute but he delayed to take his chance with Chambishi goalkeeper denying him a goal.

Another chance came in the 23rd minute through a Jimmy Mukeya’s shot which was parried off by Chambishi goalkeeper.

Finally the visitors got a shot on target and it was behind the net to punish the home side who had missed a number of chances. It was Andy Boyeli who scored both goals for Chambishi in the 25th and 38th minute.

In the 42nd minute, Soko was presented with yet another chance, but he fail to connect a Augustin Mulenga well taken cross.

The second half saw NAPSA Stars gain dominance despite only managing to pull a goal back.

The most prominent chance for the host side came in the 60th minute through Chaniza Zulu who took his effort slightly wide.

After several efforts, a goal finally came for NAPSA Stars in the 78th minute through Augustine Mulenga. The host kept pushing hoping for a goal, but all efforts proved futile.

The loss to Chambishi has seen NAPSA Stars stuck on 12th position with 16 points.

The Perry-Mutapa Coached are back on the road in their next match as they visit Nchanga Rangers this Saturday for their week-14 match.
