NAPSA VISIT NKWAZI THIS AFTERNOON AS THE MUTAPA BROTHERS FACE-OFF IN A WEEK-19 MATCH

NAPSA Stars Football Club are out searching for another victory this afternoon when they visit a Police Sponsored Nkwazi side for a week-19 game of the MTN Super League.

The Perry Mutapa-Coached side are coming from recording their second consecutive win at the expense of Champions Red Arrows FC in their week-18 match.

And today’s match makes an interesting watch looking at how it will see brothers who are heading the two teams, face off to see who carries the day.

Both coaches have indicated that it’s Nkwazi FC vs NAPSA Stars FC today and not the Mutapa brothers in Perry and Oswald.

It will also be interesting to watch Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga from Nkwazi and NAPSA Stars respectively, who were previously playing in the South African league before coming back to Zambia.

MATCH OVERVIEW AND TEAM FORM

Going into this match, NAPSA Stars are coming from recording a victory against Red Arrows where they won that match by three goals to one at Heroes Stadium.

Nkwazi on the other hand, are coming from recording a draw against log leaders Power Dynamos in their last match played in Kitwe.

Nkwazi are second from bottom with 18 points from the 18 games played, while NAPSA Stars are 10th on the log with 24 points.

It’s the second match for Coach Oswald Mutapa was just tasked to take charge of this Nkwazi side that was previously being coached by Tenant Chilumba who left the club to join Zesco United.

It’s also the first home game for coach Oswald who will face his young brother in this match scheduled for 15hours.

Meanwhile, NAPSA Stars Head Coach Perry Mutapa has indicated that he still won’t be without the services of David Odhiambo who has made a full recovery but still needs 100% fitness.

In the Nkwazi camp, the team will be without midfielder Aaron Banda who is ineligible for this particular match because his current team will be facing his parent Club.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

In the last nine meetings between these two sides, NAPSA Stars has beaten Nkwzi three times while NkwaI has won two twice, with the other four times ending in draws.

The last time the Pensioners were at Edwin Imboela Stadium saw the team which was then being heade by Chintu Kambamba, confirming its relegation after suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to the Police sponsored side.

The first half of this season however saw both teams battle to a barren draw at the Heroes Stadium
