PENSIONERS COMMENCE PREPS FOR NATIONAL DIVISION LEAGUE…

NAPSA Stars Football Club players reported for work this morning to commence their preparation for the First ever Eden University League participation.

Twenty-eight players reported this morning for their first training session after going on a four-weeks break.

The 28 players include four players from the junior team Young NAPSA, who have been identified by the technical bench for their possible addition to the senior team.  

Striker Thomas Banda who spent his last season at Young Napsa, is part of the four players called to the senior squad.

The rest of the players include Kenan Phiri (striker), Daniel Chewe (midfielder), Rodwell Mukwaya (Goalkeeper) and Kondwani Silwimba (Defender),

Care-taker Coach Chintu Kampamba says he is happy that most of the notables have reported, with the coach expressing confidence that the team will soon get back in shape after their break.

The coach is still expecting Foreign players who have visited their families back home and are expected in this Wednesday July 28, 2021.

These players include Kenyan Duo of David Odhiambo and Shabaan Odhoji who are defender and goalkeeper respectively, Ghanaia, defensive midfielder Daniel Adoko and Burundian, Enock Sabumukama who plays as an attacking midfielder.

The Pensioners were relegated to the National Division One League which is sponsored by Eden University, after finishing third from bottom in the 2020/2021 MTN/Super League Season.
