PENSIONERS FACE LUAPULA GREEN EAGLES IN MANSA THIS AFTERNOON

Napsa Stars Football Club are out in Mansa for their week-21 league match against Luapula Green Eagles FC scheduled for Kaole Stadium this afternoon.

This will be the two sides’ second meeting in the Eden National Division One League this season having played their first leg in which Napsa Stars hosted and beat the Mansa based team by five goals to two.

Goals from Bornwell Silengo, Captain Luka Banda, Jimmy Mukeya, Keegan Zulu and Enock Sabumukama were enough to silence the Mansa boys despite them managing to score two goals in that game.

In today’s match, Head Coach Perry Mutapa will have an option of using either Philip Banda or Rabson Muchelenganga in the Goal after the current in-form Goal Keeper Rodwell Mukwanya was ruled out for an injury he suffered during training.

The coach has also robbed in Arrow’s left back Joseph Lungu who has joined the team on loan for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, Napsa Stars right back Gift Zulu says the team has prepared very well for the game and will aim for the win when the two teams meet today.

“We are very much ready, we have prepared well and we are looking up to the three points,”

Zulu says the team has travelled a long distance for today’s match and it will only be fair for them  to leave Mansa and go back to Lusaka with three points collected in the bag.

He says the team has prepared a specific approach for the game and believes they will play according to the plan set for them by the technical bench.

The pensioners will this afternoon be aiming to relieve themselves from the long journey they travelled between Lusaka and Mansa.
