PENSIONERS HOST BUILDCON AT NKOLOMA TODAY

NAPSA Stars Football Club is this afternoon set to host Buildcon FC in a week-27 match of the MTN Super League slated for 13:00hours at the Nkoloma Stadium.

After a weekend off league action, NAPSA Stars returns in hope of picking up maximum points from the Ndola based side in hopes to stay in a good position on the log.

36 points separate these two sides on the log standings with the visitors sitting at the bottom of the log with 10points while NAPSA Stars are eighth with 36points.

With only eight games remaining to conclude the league, so much is at stake for both teams, Buildcon fighting relegation, and NAPSA Stars fighting to stabilize in the league following their season spent in Division One.

A win for NAPSA Stars will see the team move sixth on the log depending on other results, while the visitors seat unstable smelling relegation if they lost this match depending on the outcome of other results.

And going into today’s match, the Perry Mutapa-drilled side are coming from enjoying their 1nil victory over Kabwe Warriors in Kabwe, in their previous match which saw Jimmy Mukeya score in the 81st minute of the match.

Buildcon FC on the other hand are coming from recording a loss at the expense of log leaders Power Dynamos FC.

The Pensioners will this afternoon be boosted with the services of Augustine Mulenga who returns from nursing an injury which saw him miss out on the last match.

And unfortunately, the team will be without Leonard Mulenga who displayed a great performance in the last match to get voted fans player of the match. Mulenga will miss today’s match owing to injury.

Striker Jimmy Mukeya will also be missing from the squad today as he is out with the Zambia under-23 team which traveled to Niger for an international friendly game.
