PENSIONERS VISIT WOUNDED NKANA AT CHILATA THIS AFTERNOON

ANOTHER tough test for NAPSA Stars Football Club this afternoon as the team is set to take on Nkana FC in a week-32 fixture of the MTN Super League set for this afternoon at Nkana Stadium.

The Pensioners have all to fight for in today’s match as the team continues to push to finish second on the log in order to clinch qualification for the CAF Confederations Cup.

But clearly, the Perry Mutapa-drilled said will need to fight extra hard to get past a wounded Nkana said that has struggled to pick up points in their last two matches.

MATCH OVERVIEW AND TEAM FORM

Seven points separate these two sides as we head into this fixture with NAPSA Stars sitting second on the log with 49 points, while Nkana are 10th with 42 points.

The Pensioners have gone six matches unbeaten as they head into this fixture with their latest victory being at home against Nchanga Rangers FC, and the team will be hoping that it continues on that winning path.

Nkana on the other hand, have had a rough ride in their last two fixtures, losing both at the expense of Green Eagles and Power Dynamos FC respectively.

But this should not excite the Perry Mutapa’s side that will need to fight in this match especially looking at how the team has been unlucky with recording positive results at Nkana Stadium.

The last time these two teams met was in the first round of the match which saw both teams battle to a 1all draw in a match which was played at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

“They will be playing at home and obviously they will be playing for maximum points, but we will also fight because we want to keep the momentum,” Coach Perry said in his Pre-match interview ahead of this match.

TEAM NEWS

Coach Perry is still in doubt about the availability of forward Zikiru Adams who missed out from the last match owing to injury. The forward has been instrumental to the team, scoring five goals in his six appearances.

The coach has however declared the rest of the guys fit and ready for selection for this crucial match.
