PRE-MATCH QUOTES/ COACH PERRY SHARES HIS VIEWS AHEAD OF CHAMBISHI MATCH TOMORROW.

NAPSA Stars Football Club visits Chambishi for a week-30 match of the MTN Super League set for Kitwe’s Nkana Stadium tomorrow.

Head Coach Perry Mutapa has previewed this match in a Pre-match press briefing held with the media via zoom this morning.

Here’s how Coach was responding to the press queries.

HOW ARE YOU LOOKING AT THIS GAME AGAINST CHAMBISHI?

We are going towards the end of the season, a few games to go, no easy game remaining for anyone. Tomorrow will be a very difficult game for us for two reasons,

-Firstly, they are fighting for their lives, they need to stay in the Super League and secondly, them having a new coach. Players tend to do so well most of the time with a new coach. They win their first matches especially the first one, so it will be tough, but we are prepared for that.

ANY PRESSURE OR ADVANTAGES FOR YOU GOING INTO THIS GAME KNOWING YOU PLAY YOUR GAME A DAY AFTER YOU’VE KNOWN RESULTS FROM OTHER TEAMS?

I don’t think so. Because first, we are talking about NAPSA Stars, enjoying their stay in the Super League, everything which comes after that is a bonus. So, for now we must enjoy our stay in the Super League. And being the last games, we must give the supporters what they need which is victories, of course football is about three results so are just concentrating, and we are planning to get maximum points off Chambishi, but it won’t be an easy game.

HOW ARE YOU WARNING YOUR PLAYERS AGAINST COMPLACENCY ESPECIALLY AFTER GOING FOUR GAMES UNBEATEN?

This is where we come in as a technical bench because football is a game of emotions and sometimes players may become complacent, but where we are, we know football can hamble you, so we are making sure we treat this game as though we are fighting to stay in the premier league.

ANY INJURY CONCERNS GOING INTO THIS MUCH?

No injuries. Only one player Aaron Kabwe is out of selection because he got a red card in the last match.

Otherwise, the rest of the players are available for selection. It is just a tough one for us as technical bench to pick a team because everyone is fighting to make it in the team. So, we had to pick basing on tactical reasons. Otherwise, everyone is ready for this match.
