WE EXPECT A HIGH INTENSITY AND TACTICAL GAME AGAINST ZANACO THIS WEEKEND- CHAPA

NAPSA Stars Football Club midfielder Dickson Chapa says the team is working hard in training to record maximum points in this weekend’s match against Zanaco FC.

The Pensioners will at 13hours this Saturday, host Zanaco at Nkoloma for a week-11 match of the MTN Super League.

Chapa says in an interview with NAPSA Stars FC Media that the team expects a high intensity and tactical game this Saturday against Zanaco, but adds that everyone is working hard to get the maximum three points from this encounter.

Last time the two teams met saw Zanaco beat NAPSA Stars by two goals to nil to contribute to the Pensioners’ exist from the MTN Super league in the 2020/2021 season.

“Their current form in the league does not concern us; we are focused on how to approach this game and how we are going to collect the three points,

“It’s a local derby and local derbies are always tough, but as a team, we will do our homework in training and plan for a positive result,” Chapa adds.

And NAPSA Stars are coming from recording a draw in their last match coming into this match, with the player stressing that this past result will not affect the team’s morale going into this weekend’s match.

The former team captain says the Buildcon game was tricky looking at how the Ndola based team was fighting for their first victory.

He added that getting a draw from that match was not a bad result for the team, and that the morale is still high going into this weekend.

NAPSA Stars had recorded two straight wins against ZESCO and Warriors respectively before facing Buildcon FC.

“We have unity in the team and motivation from the technical team, they always push us to fight in each match,” The player says.

And speaking about how the league is going for him so far, the midfielder who was on the books of ZESCO United last season added that he is working hard to earn his place in the team in every game.

Chapa has played nine matches and missed only one match so far.

 “Football is all about fighting and competing. So as an individual, every week is new, new opponent and a new challenge. And as a team, we are jelling and playing the games according to the coach’s philosophy,”Chapa says.

The midfielder also adds that the team will miss their fans at Heroes Stadium for this Saturday game which is being played at Nkoloma of a double header being televised on Supersport.

He adds that the technical bench is psyching the players to treat Nkoloma just like their home ground.

The Pensioners have had a good home record winning three games and drawing two with no loss recorded.
