WE HAVE TO TREAT OUR SATURDAY LEAGUE GAME LIKE A CUP FINAL- COACH PERRY

NAPSA Stars Football Club Head Coach Perry Mutapa has urged his boys to treat this weekend’s week-32 league match against Young Green Eagles as a Cup final.

Coach Perry has stressed that this will not be an easy match for his side especially that a positive result will see the Pensioners straight into qualification.

He has also added that YGEFC is not an easy team and they will also want to fight for a victory looking at how they still have chances of bouncing back to the super league.

NAPSA Stars FC who are currently third on the log with 56 points, need three points to qualify for the 2022/2023 MTN Super League Season.

The Mutapa coached side will also have an advantage if fourth placed Nchanga Rangers and firth placed Mighty Mufulira Wanderers FC fail to pick up maximum points in their Sunday matches.

But the coach has stressed that he does not want to depend on results from other teams, and has since urged his boys to do the job on their own.

“We have had tough matches the whole season and I know this will not be an easy one. We want to do the job on our own and not depend on other teams.” Coach Perry adds.

NAPSA Stars are also contesting for the ABSA Cup title and Coach Perry has added that bouncing back to the Super League will be the team’s greatest trophy this season.

“We will fight for the ABSA Cup because we have come so far and it has motivated us to reach this far, but our other objective is bouncing back to the Super League,” Coach Perry adds.

Before Tuesday, The Pensioners were preparing for the ABSA Cup final match against Red Arrows until FAZ announced change in events, moving the match to April 30.

Napsa Stars will now host Young Green Eagles at Woodlands Stadium this Saturday for a week-32 league match set for 15hours.

In the first round, the two teams battled to a barren drawn in a match played at Khosa Stadium in Kafue.
