WE NEED TO SCORE MORE GOALS, BUT IT WAS A GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM THE TEAM- COACH PERRY

NAPSA Stars Football Club Head Coach Perry Mutapa has urged his boys to score more goals in the coming matches.

Coach Perry said in his post-match interview after his team’s 1 nil victory over Quattro Kalumbila FC that his lads had a great performance but could have scored more goals.

The Pensioners recorded their sixth victory this season in their week-10 match played at Woodlands Stadium last Saturday with Thomas Banda scoring the earliest goal of the season so far in the 1st minute.

Despite the team scoring a total of 15 goals so far, second from the highest team with 19 goals, coach Perry has stressed that he knows that his boys are capable of scoring more goals in each game.

“We have to work on scoring more goals because we create a lot of chances. But I am happy with the performance so far, movement with the ball and overall ball possession is great,” Coach Perry adds.

The coach said he is happy that the team has retained its position on the log after Saturday’s game which saw NAPSA Stars move back to first position with 20 points from the 10 games played.

The team suffered two early substitutions in the 21st and 32nd minute when Daniel Obeng and Bornwell Silengo were stretchered out after picking up injuries. The two were replaced by Luka Nguni and Gift Zulu.

Coach Perry admitted that this disturbed his game plan, but the coach added that he was happy that the team managed to get the three points in this match.

The Pensioners also missed a good number of chances that might have seen the team score more goals in this match.

The team’s next match will be against Jumulo FC of Kitwe.
