ZAMBIAN BREWERIES TO SPONSOR CHARITY SHIELD MATCH BETWEEN NAPSA & ARROWS

Zambia Breweries under Carling Black Label will put in K250,000 to sponsor this year’s Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield match which is scheduled for the 13th of August, 2022.

NAPSA Stars being ABSA Cup winners, will face MTN Super League winners Red Arrows FC in this match, with the venue yet to be announced.

The Charity Shield is the curtain raise for the Zambia Super Division whose proceeds goes to a FAZ and winner’s Charity of Choice.

The Pensioners last took part in this competition in 2018 when they played and lost to Zesco United in a semi-final match which was played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

NAPSA Stars and Red Arrows last met in the ABSA Cup final, and will meet for both the Charity shield and the first match of the MTN Super League.

Zambia Breweries through Head of Marketing Sibajene Mukonbwa have also announced that they have come on board to support the MTN Super League with a 3 million sponsorship package.

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga thanked Zambia Breweries for coming on board as third-tier sponsor to support the association under the Zambian Premiere League.

And Acting Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Sports Binwell Mwansa said the gesture by Zambia Breweries will help in the development of sports in the country.

The Zambia Super League is scheduled to kick start on August 20, 2022, a week after the Charity Shield.
